From Our Crystal Ball

As we reflect on the rapid changes effecting most companies in 2009, here are some trends we believe will have an impact in the future.
More focus on staff productivity and automating tasks.
Many companies will hope to keep recent gains in staff productivity without adding additional workers. In order for this to continue, executives will need to invest in software, systems development and outsourcing services. We see this trend continuing for several years as the economy returns to growth through job creation lags.
Content stakeholders to multiply.
Social media's influence is changing the way content is created, managed and shared. From this phenomena, businesses will reach out to their suppliers, purchasing departments and other content stakeholders to streamline, manage and share product content that can easily be repurposed for web, print and mobile applications.
Heading towards the clouds.
Server Farms, Net Books, and IMAP are all terms that will become more common as computer users move away from their desktops and toward the internet. More companies will embrace this movement as a means of spreading out the risk while lowering hardware and maintenance costs.
Less is more - the new normal?
With the economy on the mend, businesses will be adjusting to a new normal, where revenues and profit margins are smaller, thereby driving a demand for increases in efficiency. Organizations, departments and staffs will have to adapt to additional responsibilities/tasks with reduced resources.
